I send love out from my device,
Through router, tower, satellite.
Not face-to face, but will suffice,
Transmitted at the speed of light.
Through cyberspace to Book of Face,
Warm connections I renew.
Hoping my posts friends will embrace.
Virtual hugs have to do.
Why share someone else’s cute post?
Using skills that I’m told are unique,
I’ll tap something Shakespearean, almost.
Pulitzerworthy, profound, or chic.
And I get to like their stuff!
Or share memories - how cool is that?
By 1 A.M. it’s become quite enough,
Unless the eastern hemisphere wants to chat.
All the world’s wisdom held in my hand!
My cloud data grow ever larger.
But battery life I cannot expand
Without a reliable charger.
From now until I’ve flat-lined,
My FOMO'll never cease.
No idea what I’m hoping to find,
But at least I’ll save many trees.
