I am capable, focused, and ready:
To leap high, climb fast, run silently and swiftly
With power, speed, grace and endurance.
I am superheated ripples and ridges
Of bone, ligament, tendon, and muscle
Forged on the anvil of extreme challenge
In foundries of rigorous training and bitter conflict.
I am tempered in long runs outside the wire;
Hardened in the world’s icy oceans.
Veins pulsing, heart pounding,
I am red-hot titanium, hammered by resolve
To engage with my team;
To eliminate threats to right and freedom;
To restore rights to the oppressed;
To attain our objective at all costs.
I am the fusion of honor, courage, strength and commitment.
I am a United States Marine.
