Gun legislation stalls. McConnell will block it.
For years he's been in the NRA’s deep pocket.
He's not concerned with how families grieve,
Long as NRA big bucks his red pals receive.
They casually dismiss all violence with guns
But none have lost spouses or daughters or sons.
Gloating and smug, they feather their nests,
And hand out their favors, and fill their war chests.
To gun reps with donations they genuflect
(their seats in ‘22 they must guard and protect).
He flings any life-giving initiatives aside,
Hastening inhumanity— thousands have died.
He believes he's gamed the system well,
But power and lives aren’t Mitch's to sell.
