Our sustainable future’s in
seventeen goals.
We all can contribute; why not choose roles?
Our highest goal is to eliminate poverty,
Then to end hunger and attain food security.
We must strive for universal well-being and health,
And to end the oppression of disparities in wealth.
Sustainable agriculture; improved nutrition;
Inclusive education with little attrition.
It’s time to give females power long-overdue.
Provide water to all, and sanitation, too.
We all must have energy that’s affordable and renewable
And living wage employment— that’s certainly doable.
Let’s sustain infrastructure, industry, and innovation
In clean, safe towns, with citizen cooperation.
Reduce consumption but get factories performing;
Take urgent action to combat global warming.
Protect ecosystems including forest and sea;
Mountain and desert, and biodiversity.
Achieving justice for all will take dedication,
And accountable governance as its solid foundation.
We share kinship on earth; we’re all family here.
